Videos to watch about Thailand!

I think we have some good books to pepare ourselfs for Southeast-asia. But it was'nt enough for me. First I thought about borowing some Tourist DVD's from the library, but than I thought we live in more modern times then that and why should'nt I find some documentaries on the net?
And really I found quite a lot. Documentaries to all kind of subjects.
I found out over this documentary that Thailand, like many other countries, has many faces.
There is the tourist face:
And then if you start to look a little bit closer, behind the stage, you start to see that not all is pretty. And I think then we start to see how it must be like for the most people in Thailand.

If you get interested in the working-class in Thailand, then you might also be interested in the food industy. Watch how a bunch of young english guy's try to live like the standard Thai workers:

For Thailand I found this one the most important (it's in german) films, because it let's you understand how important the King in Thailand is and what you sould absolutely respect in this country:
And this is were you could find yourself if do what the video warns you about. These priseners are there in prison for drug dealings or drug smuggle:

Also the political situation in Thailand is not really that stable and european, like they like the tourists to believe:

We really will have to be careful about asking questions about this stuff, the most Thais won't talk with us about it anyway.
I'm curious how this silence will feel after being used to be able to talk about anything and with anyone I want to. I found that there are very different types of tourists in Thailand. Like a special kind are retirees.
(this documentary is also in german )

If you are curious about the food in Thailand you should watch Anthony Bourdains show - No Reservations!

Oh! and if you want to learn a little Thai:
In thai the accents are very important, if you do them wrong they won't understand you. I'm not sure if they do it right on this video or if I can really learn this way how to do it right. I'm sure I will find it out soon enough.
